Cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and caudal epidural injections:

An epidural steroid injection (ESI) is a combination of a corticosteroid medication with a local anesthetic. Corticosteroids are strong anti-inflammatory medications used for pain relief. The local anesthetic causes immediate pain relief, while the corticosteroid allows long-term relief. The ESI is injected into the space around the spinal cord, which is called the epidural space. 

Trigger point injections:

Trigger point injection (TPI) is a method used to treat painful areas of muscle tissue that contain "trigger points," or knots of tightened muscle that cannot relax. These knots can irritate surrounding nerves and cause pain in different parts of the body.

Facet injections:

A local anesthetic or steroid medication is injected into a facet joint, which is one of the points where one vertebra (spine bone) connects to another.
